For the past 65 years, Pittsburgh has honored a remarkable young woman as Miss Smiling Irish Eyes, celebrating her commitment to her Irish heritage.

This title, alongside that of the St. Patrick's Day Parade Grand Marshal, is one of the greatest honors given by the Pittsburgh Irish Community.

Miss Smiling Irish Eyes and her Court play a vital role in the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade and participate in various media events in the week leading up to the celebration. They embody the core values of Irish identity—faith unity, and Christian charity—while inspiring others with their achievements.  Former titleholders have become leaders in fields including education, medicine, science, television and entertainment.
